GENERAL QUESTIONS
Is my procedure covered by insurance?
That depends. Most reconstructive procedures, which may include breast reductions and breast reconstruction, are covered by insurance. Your insurance carrier is often the best resource on which procedures are covered. Cosmetic procedures such as breast augmentation, liposuction and abdominoplasty are not covered by insurance. Dr. Okpaku is not a provider for any insurance company.
Do you offer in-house financing?
No, we do not offer in-house financing; however, we do have several companies that can provide you with the various financing options you may need.
Which financing companies do you use?
Even if your credit is not perfect, it is important to Dr. Okpaku that you have financing options available to you, including Chase Health Advance check the info above to apply.
When can I apply for a loan?
You can apply anytime. Most companies that provide financing have loans that are valid for 30 days so that you can use the money anytime during that period.
Do I have to finance the entire amount?
You absolutely do not have to finance the entire amount of your procedure. You can pay any portion that you want - and then simply finance the rest.
Is your office paid directly, or will I receive the check?
Dr. Okpaku's office will receive the check directly from the financing company.
Will I make payments to the financing company or to Dr. Okpaku?
You will make all payments directly to the financing company.
Do I have to have a consultation with Dr. Okpaku to find out if I qualify for plastic surgery financing?
No, you do not. With most companies, you can be pre-approved for a dollar amount. That way, you know exactly how much you can afford to spend on your procedure. You can do this even before you speak with Dr. Okpaku. Best of all, the loan will not be processed until you have visited our office and decided which surgery you will have and when. However, if you see Dr. Okpaku before arranging financing, you will be able to find out exactly the loan amount you will need to finance your procedure.
